Coming off the pill, trying to detoxify your body and bringing it back to balance can be tough. We can experience a plethora of problems and symptoms.

Although I always recommend getting checked out by a professional, I also know that not always is a pill the “easy” fix. It is important to listen, understand and take care of our bodies.

Throughout this journey I have tried so many things to help with my hormones, from acne, to heavy cycles, to breast paint, and so on— nothing had worked. I am not going to say that these herbs will fix ALL your problems and they’ll be nonexistent, but they do a very good job balancing and giving you the space to breathe and reintegrate.

Here are the herbs that have helped me and what their benefits are:

1️⃣ Shatavari- Helps keep hormones balanced by helping aid in menstrual cramps, providing relief with mood swings, hot flashes, depression, insomnia, fertility and bringing moisture back into the body. It can also help with hormonal acne, and alleviate pmdd symptoms.

2️⃣ Ashwagandha With Black Pepper- In order for this one to work you have to purchase one that comes with black pepper, otherwise the body has a hard time processing it. Ashwagandha is very good for mood swings, depression, anxiety, helps aid cognitive function, helps with pms symptoms, and boosts libido.

3️⃣ Red Clover- helps promote healthy cardiovascular health which helps with your pms symptoms, bleeding, blood clots, cramps, and also aids in detoxifying the body from the inside out. Can be used for people who experience menopause and excessive hot flashes. It’s got other properties that help the body as well: including lowering cholesterol/sugar levels.

4️⃣ St. John’s Wort- Relieves menstrual symptoms, cramps, irritability, cravings, mood swings, breast tenderness, pain, bloating, depression, and can also help with anxiety and over stimulation.

All of these herbs are wonderful, I recommend trying one and sticking to it for a month to see how you feel. Do you own research and see what you resonate with. I also recommend taking them on tea form as you will get the most concentrated dose of it. Enjoy 🫶🏽
