hello everyone ✨

in this post, i will be sharing about my self-care journaling experience and why i believe that you should do it too. 🫶🏻

why did i start this journal?

my goal is to become a more mindful individual and a less angry/hateful person. so i wanted to practice gratitude consciously ❤️

what does this routine look like?

🌥️ upon waking up : write down one thing that u are looking forward to today

🌙 right before u go to sleep : write down one thing that u are grateful for today

reasons why you should do this:

✅ helps to start & end ur day on a positive note

✅ practicing gratitude can improve ur sleep quality & health

✅ encourages u to practice mindfulness

before this, i have tried many different journaling methods like bullet journaling, a diary, and etc but this was the only one that stuck with me.

this method is simple and low-maintenance for those who are on the lazier side like me 🥹

all you need is a notebook & a pen! please don’t feel pressured to make it pretty/perfect ❤️

a few tips to help maintain this habit:

⚪️ keeping the notebook beside ur bed / easily accessible

⚪️ if u don’t know what to write, writing any short statement or words will be enough to build the habit! (eg. “looking forward to eat”)

⚪️ remind urself of the benefits of journaling
