VIRAL CHOPPED GRINDER SANDWICH🥪

If you are on social media, I’m sure you’ve seen this Grinder Salad Sandwich viral recipe by now. It seems as though everyone and their mom has tried it, so I had to jump on the train🥪.

What is a Grinder Sandwich you’re asking? A grinder is also known as a sub, hoagie, hero, Italian, grinder, wedge, or a spucki. And this Grinder salad sandwich is essentially the same ingredients you’d find on an Italian sub, but with an additional creamy salad made of iceberg lettuce and onions that gets loaded onto a hoagie bun or French bread for the most epic sandwich. I actually chose to chop everything up into salad before loading it up onto the bread and it was an amazing choice.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

🥪 1 lb turkey

🥪 6 slices provolone cheese

🥪 ⅓ lb pepperoni

🥪 ⅓ lb salami

🥪 ⅓ cup banana peppers

🥪 1 cup cherry tomatoes

🥪 1 very small red onion

🥪 2 cups shredded lettuce

🥪 ½ avocado

🥪 2 T lite mayo

🥪 ½ tsp salt, pepper, garlic mixture

For an epic sandwich, you need GOOD bread. The TikTok Grinder sub uses focaccia, which is a great choice, but reach for a crusty French baguette or hoagie roll as other tasty options.
