Pls help. Idk what to do.

We are high school sweethearts. We’re been together since we were 15 and we’re about to turn 19. We’ve never broken up and we’ve had out ups and downs but it’s always turned out good in the end. Recently he’s been feeling very down and I’ve tried to help him but how much help can I be?

Yesterday he came to me at work and told me I was the reason for it. He said he went through every possible reason for him feeling that way and everything points to me. He said I stress him out. But we haven’t had any bad arguments for a while now. Just some bickering here and there.

I’m really confused and very hurt by this. I want to make it better but I don’t know how. I don’t know if I can. Do I just stop caring and let him do whatever he wants? Do we break up? What is my next step. I love my boyfriend with my whole heart and cry at the thought of leaving him. But I also hate to be the reason he’s depressed.
