Is “Wildfire” Worth the Hype?

this is the second book in the Maple Hills series by Hannah Grace. i absolutely loved the first book, Icebreaker, and couldn’t wait for the second one to be released!

i know some people were disappointed with the lack of hockey but i really appreciated how this book tried to do something different because sometimes a series just about hockey can get repetitive at times. i also really loved how Russ was such a different vibe than Nathan Hawkins. don’t get me wrong i love Nathan but Russ was so endearing because of how shy and sweet he was!

i also really loved the fact that this book does not have a third act breakup! i love when romance books promote healthy communication in relationships especially when it is over trivial things that could easily be fixed with a conversation!

overall i would rate this book a 4⭐️. i really loved Aurora and Russ and how cute and cozy this book felt but i really missed the whole friend group dynamics that we got in the first book. don’t get me wrong, i loved the new characters we got but the friend group in Icebreaker was top tier!
