BOOK REVIEW: Things We Never Got Over

i have been seeing this book on my feed ever since i joined bookstagram. the book never really interested me until i was gifted it by my book bestie for my birthday and i am so glad that i picked it up! Lucy Score is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors. her writing style is so addicting and easy to read!

this book is dual pov between Knox and Naomi. it is a small town romance, grumpy x sunshine and a slight enemies to lovers. i absolutely loved Knox! i am always a sucker for a big grumpy man. it reminds me of my boyfriend, Nolan, every time 😂 the way that Knox always looked out for Naomi literally warmed my heart!

i also loved the subplot surrounding Tina, Naomi’s evil twin, and why she abandoned her daughter, Waylay. it was super interesting and the drama was everything!! this books is a love story not only between Knox and Naomi but Knox, Naomi, and Waylay. the bond between Knox and Waylay made the book for me! normally i don’t like kids in books but Waylay was written so well. it was so heartbreaking reading about how her mom treated her and how throughout the book, she had to learn how to trust the adults around her. another aspect of the book i loved was Naomi’s character development and how she had to learn how to take care of herself before taking care of others was such an important message!

this book was a 4.5 ⭐️ for me! i absolutely loved this book so much and did not want to put it down! i am super excited to read the second book about Nash and Lina!
