Steam Train in the Redwoods 🚂

This steam train ride through the redwoods in California is absolutely magical ✨

Just over an hour outside of San Francisco, Roaring Camp is a great family friendly destination. These former logging trains are now some of the oldest in the country that carry passengers! The ride is 75 mins long and is free for children 2 & under.

Make sure to buy your tickets in advance! All of the trains were sold out the day we went.

We asked a worker where the best seats on the train were and she said the middle cars because those cars are not covered so you can see the trees. It looks sunny at the station, but the whole ride is in the shade.

Park in the Henry Cowell State Park for easy access to the train and a little hike after your train ride!
