Not My 1st Lemon8 Post: Too Late for #SelfIntro?

This has been sitting in my drafts for a while, and since I've already given birth and my secondborn is now 7 months old, I thought it was finally time to introduce myself. This will be a bit of a spontaneous post, so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors as I share whatever comes to mind.

**A Few Facts About Me:**

✨ I’m in my late 20s and a mother of 2 boys. Ironically, I never planned on having children, but my priorities have shifted, and I don’t regret becoming a mother earlier than I intended. My family means everything to me. ❤️

✨ I come from a multicultural and multi-religious background. My mother is Filipino (she relinquished her citizenship in 2018 and is now a Singaporean) and a Catholic, while my father is Buddhist. My aunt is Muslim, and my uncle is Indian, so you can imagine the diversity! I identify as a free-thinker and, having been born and raised in Singapore, I feel more connected to my Chinese roots, even though I wish I could speak my mother’s dialect, Bisaya, or Tagalog, as I wasn’t exposed to them much.

Also, I’m married to a Malaysian Chinese! 😂

✨ I grew up listening to 80s music - think Queen, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, and Michael Jackson - but I’m definitely more familiar with 90s and early 2000s artists like the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. While I do listen to contemporary music, I find that the real gems are few and far between.

✨ As a child, I was a speed reader, which meant my family often hesitated to buy me books since I would finish them in no time. However, I took my time with the Harry Potter series, especially "The Deathly Hallows," which took me over 3 hours to complete! I can still speed read as an adult, but distractions make it much harder these days. 😅

✨ I used to draw and write extensively when I was younger. My grandparents would stock up on drawing paper when I stayed at theirs, and I’d spend hours creating comics and stories. Now, I can’t help but wonder where that enthusiasm and creativity have gone. 🥲 Maybe that’s why I’m on #Lemon8 - I miss writing down my thoughts.

✨ Math is not my strong suit. I thrive in languages and subjects like literature, history, and social studies. I remember putting in so much effort into studying maths only to barely scrape by in my O Levels, while I aced the subjects I hardly focused on. How ironic is that? 😐

✨ Shopping isn’t really my thing. I’m usually the one waiting for my friends to get ready at the shopping mall! I prefer spending my time outdoors or at places like libraries and museums. If it weren’t for the distance and entrance fees, I’d probably visit the zoo or science centre every other week!

✨ I’m a spice lover - Korean spicy noodles and mala at the highest spiciness level don’t faze me! I don’t drink soft drinks, I rarely have coffee, and I’m more of a chilled tea person. I have a very big appetite, but now that I’m older and have given birth to two kids, I’ve become more aware of my slowing metabolism and am more mindful of my eating habits.

✨ Lastly, I’m an introvert (my MBTI personality type is INFJ-A). I guess you could say I’m a walking contradiction.
