day in the life of a software engineer (WFH) 💻

some facts about me! (it's been a while since I introduced myself here 👋)

💸 I was affected by a mass layoff in january, BUT I got a $60k+ severance package and found a new (and better) software engineering job 2 months later!

💼 I want to be work optional - not because I don't like working, but because I want to do work I truly enjoy without having to worry about the money

🎓 I graduated debt-free from @stanford with 2 computer science degrees, mostly thanks to their very generous need-based financial aid policy. I recognize this is a huge privilege and I don't take it for granted.

💳 I have 7 credit cards but have never paid credit card interest.

🏘 I want to buy an investment property (hopefully soon)!

💕 I started this finance account in January of 2022 after being inspired by fellow finance accounts. This has become my passion project and creative outlet and I'm so grateful for it. Thank you for being here ❤️

🍳 I think "breakfast foods" are a social construct and I will eat dinner/dessert/anything for breakfast

😢 I'm the kind of person who cries if I see someone else crying lol 😅

📚 I listen to audiobooks while working out, driving, doing chores...basically whenever I can. I'm obsessed with @libby.app 🤝

🌍 I'm big on value-based spending. I save on things I don't care about so I can spend on the things I value, like travel, fitness, and family.

also I have a confession - this was filmed over 2 days because I completely forgot to film half the stuff the first day 😳
