my fav flared leggings! 🎀

hi everyone !

i was recently looking for a pair of flared leggings & decided to try 2 brands before purchasing! so here’s a review of both lululemon & aphy active 😆 just fyi but i usually would not spend so much on active wear so both items were kinda pricey to me…

# 1 LULULEMON FLARED NULU LEGGINGS

i tried this at the ion branch and omg i must say that the customer service is AMAZING 😄 like they were super friendly and helpful, to the point where it was kinda scary as an introvert lol .. but anyways i think the leggings were around 150 sgd ? here are the good and bad sides to them:

➕ v thick fabric !! def NO vpl

➕ superrr body hugging & flattering

➕ the high waist seriously compresses your tummy pouch (i took the pic after eating 😌)

❌ fabric felt a bit plastic-y, it was smooth but not soft :/

❌ not actually that flared lol…

❌ wow crazy expensive ?!?!

# 2 APHY ACTIVE CLEO FLARED LEGGINGS V3

aphy is a local brand that pretty well-known for this specific leggings! they don’t have a physical shop but i tried on during their christmas pop-up sale! the pants were 80$ and had a 15% discount :) i had previously purchased a baby tee from them and the seams ripped after like 3 wears so .. i didn’t go in with the highest expectations LOL but here is what i thought of the pants:

➕ LOVEEEE the v cross over waist detail omg my absolute fav part

➕ fabric was also thick enough to prevent vpl !

➕ comes with POCKETS

➕ super flared !! (excuse my lousy room pic omg)

➕ buttery soft ….

❌ i don’t like how the seams are so obvious on the grey ??

❌ less high-waisted so your belly button will show

personal preference: love how the logo was embroidered and not printed 🤍

🏆 VERDICT

i bought the aphy active pants in the end ! not only was it HALF the price, it was actually MORE comfortable to wear lol 🤷‍♀️ the cons were also not that serious to me! i get that it’s hard to buy clothings from an online shop without trying so i suggest everyone to follow them and try to aim for a pop-up where you can try it! the owners are super friendly too (they recognise me even though i’ve only bought 1 shirt once HAHAH ?!?!) considering that it was pricey i do hope that the seams are stronger though!

extra: i also tried on some tops to match the pants & tbh they’re similar enough that it doesn’t matter which you get, especially if you’re flat…. but i did think that lululemon’s bra pads were more noticeable and shifted more!
