Tips for new nose piercing

I just got a new nose piercing 2 days ago! I have had one in the past on the other nostril for about a year and it never healed. I had to take it out and let it close up because I was always in pain and there was a huge bump. I would love tips on how to heal it correctly so the same thing does not happen! :)

Since it is still very fresh there is some redness and a little swelling which I’m pretty sure is normal. Let me know if this doesn’t look normal for a new piercing!
