Taiwanese bistro with live bands🤤 ?!? #youmustgo

On Valentine’s Day, I’m sure most of you would spent the day together with either your partners/ dates or girl friends. But for me Valentine’s Day is to spend it with your loved ones, so i would always celebrate it with my family too because they are the people whom i care about too. Before i was single, i would always celebrate it with family by bringing them out on that day for a nice meal or even gifting them with presents/ baked cookies / chocolate or flowers like how we would do it with our partners.

This Valentine’s, i brought my mum and little brother to this Taiwanese Bistro “ Jyu Gae 聚閣 “ which is located at Lazada One along bras basah road.

They serve Taiwanese delights, bubble tea during daytime, alochol and desserts.

Food that we tried :

- Taiwanese Mee Sua ( fresh oysters ) $14.90

Oysters were plump and fresh. 🤤

Umami from the broth 💯 was thicc consistency of the broth as well and not watery at all .

All in all a very good bowl of typical mee sua 🫶🏼

- Ham & Cheese Egg Crepe $8.90

The crepe was thick and crispy also together with the ham & cheese , yumz kinda reminds me of a roti prata consistency but you can taste the difference.

Recommend this to crepes and pratas lovers 🤍

- Braised Beef Noodle Soup $14.90

Rich & hearty broth of aromatic blend of spices and handmade noodles was yums & chewy as hell.

THEIR BEEF WAS SO TENDER AND SMOOTH 🤤

A must get if you love tender braised beef but the soup was alittle oily for my liking but overall 10/10

- Hakka Taiwanese Pork Belly $12.90

Crispy & juicy 🤤🤤🤤

Tastes a bit like the roasted pork that we have in singapore but a little more upzz !!!

Get this if you are a crispy pork belly fan 🫶🏼

I would recommend this place for those taiwan food lovers and people who enjoy live bands.

I can say that even if I haven’t been to taiwan, their food has a unique & authentic taste. Their live bands timings are from 8-11.15pm, so if you are in the mood for some chill vibes with good singers , must head to jyu gae. They also serve alochols and cocktails as well and omg skewers but they only serve their skewers from 830pm i guess it’s a great bar food if you want to pair it up with your beers/ drinks.
