why has no one reviewed this torriden sun cream?

this sunscreen surprised me! it’s torriden’s balanceful cica tone-up sun cream (what a name lol)

i was feeling adventurous and wanted to try a new sunscreen. i'd heard about torriden's line, but surprisingly, i couldn't find many reviews about its balanceful cica tone up sun cream. i am usually not this brave to try new products that haven't been extensively reviewed, but i guess i just felt lucky?

this sun cream claims to reduce redness in your skin tone through its green tint, also known as colour-correcting. it's SPF50+ and PA++++, is a physical sunscreen, and contains cica and panthenol.

honestly, i had my doubts... if it's that great, wouldn't others be raving about it? i've tried a few different sunscreens and always came away with some major dislike, whether it's because they sting my face, or because they feel greasy on my skin.

well, this sun cream surprised me because i really liked it!

pros:

- indeed reduces redness with its green tint -- i could see my skin looking less inflamed, and i feel more presentable (i don't wear make-up, so my acne really makes me feel like i don't look presentable sometimes)

- stays on the WHOLE DAY! when i wash my face at night, i can tell that there's still lots of sunscreen residue on my face. need to double cleanse!

- does not sting my face, does not get in my eyes (as mentioned in my previous post, i do sometimes have a stinging sensation from other products)

- no fragrance!

cons:

- has a bit of a white cast which reduces after it dries, but i don't mind because it really helps to even out my skin tone

- is not the most hydrating! in the mornings, i usually like to use my sunscreen as a moisturiser so that i don't have too many products sitting on my face, but this sun cream doesn't provide sufficient hydration for that. if your skin tends to be dry, you might want to layer other products before this to improve hydration!

- very creamy texture, almost towards a paste, which some may not like. i don't mind, as long as it blends out easily, which product does!

i have pretty sensitive acne skin, so for me to like a product right off the bat is rare! it usually takes my skin some time to get used to new products and decide if it likes it or not, but i liked this one right away! been using it for 2 weeks+ and nothing has come up so far, which is pleasantly surprising! the only real problem i have with it is the lack of hydration. would that be a dealbreaker to you?

i would say give it a try! it may not be for everyone, but you might like it.
