Cheesy, beefy, zesty, and so delicious! These are my go to tacos to make when I want something yummy in under 30 minutes. Also family approved!
Servings: 3
- 6 Corn tortillas
Lime Crema:
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Juice of 1 1/2 limes
- Salt to taste
Beef Mixture:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons of favorite taco seasoning (I used a homemade one, but I love Old El Paso)
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup water
Toppings:
Cheese (any is fine, I like to use a taco blend)
Pico de gallo
Avocado, Guacamole, Salsa (etc.,)
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the lime crema. Refrigerate until ready to use. This is also the time to make pico or anything else that needs to be refrigerated.
2. Heat a pan over medium high heat. ⭐️If you’re using 80/20 or 85/15, render out most of the fat and drain before adding the garlic and seasonings. If you’re using 90/10 ground beef, add the garlic and seasonings in the beginning.
3. Add water, turn the heat to low, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until it thickens. Take off the heat and set aside until ready to use. ⭐️This will also allow the meat to soak up all the flavor.
4. Heat pan or girdle on medium heat. This is optional. I like to dip and coat each tortilla in the beef mixture. Cook for 10 to 20 second on each side. 2 tacos per taco.
5. Top with the beef mixture alongside your toppings and crema. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
