The first thing that I do when I travel to a new city is to stock up on some of my favorite items from a local grocery store. It helps me to know that I have fresh fruit/veggies and proteins on hand to supplement what else I’m eating when traveling. They’re also things I love to get at home, so it helps with home sickness for me personally! Here’s a peek into what I typically get:
Fresh Foods:
- Pre-cut fruit: expensive, but worth it
- Clementines: easy to take on the go
- Veggie trays: I’ll snack on these and maybe grab some hummus to dip them in
Proteins:
- Koia protein drinks: I’ll drink one after using the gym
- String cheese: quick snack
Breakfast:
- Yogurt: I love Two Good but I’ll get plain too
- Oatmeal: I love the Mush brand but sometimes I’ll get the plain cups and microwave them
Other:
- Beverages: I love liquids, so typically I’ll grab an assortment of Poppi, seltzers, Recess, or anything that looks cool!
- Sweets: I love a cold Midday Square
