Why I hate fast food

I love my job and all of the opportunities it has given me but with that, there are a ton of downsides. Fast food is DISGUSTING. What people order is so gross to me. Seeing how our food is made grosses me out. Seeing the kitchen conditions gross me out. I have been here for 3.5 years now and I do love the people and the pay is outstanding compared to other companies.

I have wasted my teenage/highschool years because of this job, always having to come in, constantly being screwed by managers and coworkers. I missed out on the last 3 Halloweens as a teenager because of this place. I've had to work every Christmas Eve as a highschooler, etc.

I have done my fair share of calling off or coming in late so I cannot complain too much but I've also devoted so much being a teenager. I am turning 20 this November and I am just thinking about how much I've missed out due to my job. I did not set proper boundaries because I wanted to be cool and liked there so I went above and beyond. It took my teen years away but gave me better opportunities to grow in the company so that is a good thing with the bad I guess?

I wish people stopped ordering fast food, it is so terrible, so gross, so bad for you, the ingredients are bad. My company has altered the recipies to make them cheaper and continue to do so every year and raise the prices as well. I will not judge anybody who gets fast food! I don't want it to come off that way, just working in this environment really opens your eyes.
