When there aren’t enough hours in the day, you have to make some. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I could feel myself becoming stressed towards the end of the summer.

We had been booked and busy for months at that point, and I just needed a break. My health wasn’t a priority, which in turn made my mental state worse. I needed movement for my body, organization for my life, and peace for my mind.

Now that we are in full fall mode, I have had time to reset and prioritize what is most important to me, which is time with my babies and my own mental health.

Here’s three things I implemented to complete change the game for me as a full time working mom who’s found a functional and FUN work-life balance.

1. I start my day with a workout. Three days a week, I make it a non-negotiable to workout because of the amazing effects it has on my happiness and energy levels. I feel more confident, and motivated to do things I enjoy.

2. I keep track of schedules on a calendar that my entire family can see. This includes appointments, date nights, events, birthdays etc. Having a calendar or agenda helps me to stay focused on what is to come that week, and completely minimizes forgetting important to-do’s.

3. I take at least five minutes every day to sit, or lay down, and reflect or meditate in silence. Doing this helps clear my head of anxious thoughts, and provides clarity. It regulates my mood, and gives a much needed reset that all moms require.

Whether you work full time in a corporate setting, or have little baby bosses at home 24/7, these steps can be incorporated into any routine. I promise, you will never regret pouring into yourself 🩷
