Romance Recs for Beginners

New to the romance genre? Here are some of the first books I’d recommend you to read :)

- The Kiss Quotient series: The first book in the series is one of my very favorite books! The books in this series are the perfect mix of cute, steamy, and heart. I personally connected with a lot of the neurodivergence rep in this one, and I think it does a great job of portraying healthy relationships that explore boundaries and safety within romantic relationships.

- The Brown Sisters series: This series is a rom-com series that truly emphasizes the comedy. I found myself swooning and also giggling throughout each of these books, and I honestly can’t choose a favorite sister.

- The Neighbor Favor and Beach Read: SUCH fun books about bookish people. I flew through both of these, instantly drawn into the worlds of these characters. Truly some great examples of how characters you can root for can make the reading experience so great.

- The Romantic Agenda: I hadn’t read many books with asexual/aromantic representation prior to this one to be honest, but what a great introduction. I found this book to be so fun while also informative and moving.

- Lunar Love: Another example of a really fun set up for a rom com. We have rivals to lovers, matchmaking, and all the antics this leads to.
