These few weeks have been particularly stressful, what with it being Q4 and everyone trying to wrap up the year and celebrate the upcoming festivities.

i think it’s so important to have a self care routine to take care of your own needs and reduce the risk of burn out and just hating life. It could be something simple like staying in bed and reading a book, or going for a walk, or splurging on a spa session. Whatever it is, make sure that you feel energized internally after!

I’m really lucky that my company gives us 1 day off per quarter to focus on our wellness, but i try to also incorporate it every weekend (when i can), and here’s some examples of what i do:

1. Exercise! I do a variety of exercises (HIIT, yoga, spin, pilates, bodypump) cause i get bored easily and i like to change up my routine. Even though sometimes it can be pretty challenging and tiring to hit the gym after a long day of work, i find that i feel much better and productive afterwards. Wearing cute gymwear helps too!

2. Staying home and reading a book

I’m a huge bookworm 😂 and recently one of my favourite things to do to unwind after a long week, is to stay home, make a nice cup of latte (having a proper coffee machine has been a gamechanger), and get started on a book that i’ve been meaning to read. I find that i’m no longer drawn to crowded and noisy places (maybe i’m getting older 😂)

3. Exploring new places on my own

Don’t get me wrong, i love hanging out with my friends and my partner, but sometimes it’s just much easier to get things done on your own. I’ve been taking myself out to nice lunches and exploring cafes on my own, and its really not as bad as you might think!

P.s korean lunch set is from Hyangyeon and it’s soooo worth it! My korean colleague recommended so it’s q legit! This whole set was $15 (excl GST)

Also checked out Kyo Kohee recently and i gotta say, the hype is well-deserved! It’s definitely not a cheap cup of matcha latte but it’s really well made!

4. Massages at natureland.

sometimes our bodies just need a good ol’ massage to feel better, my fave places are natureland and spa esprit (double the price but sooo worth it).

I like that Natureland massages are always pretty consistent.

Spa esprit is more luxe, you can choose your favourite scent and the room is way nicer.

I’ve tried Aramsa spa as well, and that was quite nice too!

I’ve also tried bone setting at Pulse TCM and it was pretty painful for me 😔
