From Nashville, it was an effortless drive of just 90 minutes to the park.

Top tips for an epic cave adventure:

1️⃣ Book your cave tour in advance - tickets disappear fast!

2️⃣ Pick the tour that suits your interests. We loved the 2-hour Historic Tour with its tight squeeze through “Fat Man’s Misery”.

3️⃣ The park is in Central Time zone - keep that in mind when planning.

4️⃣ Dress warm - the cave stays a cool 54 degrees all year.

To truly immerse in the park’s beauty, consider camping on-site. Remember to book your campsite (about $25/night) and grab your gear. I found a great, budget-friendly tent on Amazon. For your campfire needs, you can buy firewood from the nearby Caver’s Camp Store or gather fallen branches within the park.
