Library Office Makeover & Flood

There are parts of my home that have went through some MAJOR changes! I’m not one too rush into decisions, and quite frankly, it takes me forever to decide on anything that feels “permanent”

A part of it is my upbringing because I had moved every year or so and had attended over 9 different schools and lived in more homes than I can remember so rehoming Itself can be pretty challenging.

This basement was rented out to a friend of ours that didn’t have anywhere to live and didn’t want to overspend in apartment living. He was an amazing tenant for 5 years. Once I get pregnant with my first; we felt it was best to move my office downstairs since the baby needed that upstairs space for a nursery. I went through several “phases” and then decided I wanted a library!

I couldn’t afford it. But then( our water heater had a recall) and it spontaneously busted! It was silent so I didn’t see it until several hours later. Luckily, I caught it in time before it damaged more rooms. Long story story; we had insurance and flooring removed and mitigation teams and all sorts of process before we were given a generous check and I went to town building my library! This place will be a retreat for my husband and I to get away, read, write; focus, spend time with Jesus. It will be a space “away from the remainder of the house” and just a sweet vintage moody little space. The room still has lots of work, but I got too excited to not share!

Stay tuned for the finished process! Looking for some gold vintage frames now and gotta paint an arch and some other crazy unnecessary stuff to make this room that much more special!
