HOW I GOT A NATURALLY SNATCHED FACE?! 🤩🧖‍♀️💆‍♀️✨

If you know me, you’d know that I am a huge believer of lymphatic drainage massages. After trying one for my belly area, I saw one for the FACE and was immediately intrigued.

For some context, the traditional Bojin massage is a practice that comes from Taiwan. They use specific scrapers to massage along specific acupoints to promote blood circulation, relieve muscle tension and depuff the treatment area. I recently went to @Purify Skin to try out their facial bojin treatment and here’s what I think:

✅ COMFORTABLE

Unlike the previous treatment I did, this was not uncomfortable at all. In fact it was so soothing I fell asleep LOL. I could feel the relaxation almost immediately, with my jaw feeling the most relaxed. Who knew I had a habit of clenching it so tightly.

✅ SLEEPING HABITS EXPOSED

The only scary thing that happened was the fact that my masseuse could tell I had bad sleeping habits from the moment she started the treatment on my scalp. Just by scraping my scalp, she could tell that I have a habit of not just sleeping late, but getting poor quality of sleep each time. I was kinda shocked because that was exactly what Ive been going through for the last few weeks.

✅ TRAINED IN TAIWAN

As the practice originates from Taiwan, Purify skin has actually made sure that their masseuses train in Taiwan, or train under an expert from Taiwan. I thought that was quite amazing that they’d go to that extent to get ensure that their staff are properly trained in the traditional technique!

✅ PRIVATE ROOMS

As usual, the private rooms provided will always be a win in my books. Very comfortable and clean. And most importantly, not too cold. A win for me.

✅ LIFTING EFFECT

Now let’s talk about what everyone wants to know. Is this a scam? Does it actually work? I would say yes, but only in the short term. Of course one massage isn’t going to fix all your health problems and give you a snatched face. BUT the immediate “snatching” effect was a lot more visible for me as compared to the other bojin massage I did on my body. My cheek bones appeared more prominent for the rest of the day, which I was extremely surprised by.

✅ AFTER EFFECTS

I did feel like I went to sleep better that night but honestly that could also be a placebo effect. The following few days I also did feel that my nasal passages felt less congested and I didn’t get my midday headaches as intensely as before! It was a win for me. Of course these effects are not permanent and they ended up returning. Great for short term relief, definitely not a one time/long term solution.

⭐️ OVERALL: I’ve been very into TCM treatments for my health/wellness and this treatment is the perfect introduction to it! I especially love that fact that their therapists are all trained in or from Taiwan. So no need to spend $300 on flight tickets all the Taiwan to experience this! 🤪 I definitely want to try this treatment on other parts of my body like the back and neck. It’s supposed to alleviate symptoms such as shoulder and neck pain, headaches, and insomnia, which is completely up my alley. The staff are friendly and the space is extremely clean and comfortable. They’ve got TRIAL PRICES under $100 for the facial bojin treatment, so honestly for what it’s worth, I highly recommend!
