where to stay in Busan? 🇰🇷🌊💸

Here’s a quick little review of the hotel we stayed at during our trip to Busan two weeks ago.

To caveat, we only spent 2D1N in Busan, so proximity to the main train station was the most important thing to us since we had to catch a train to Seoul!

📍Address: Ramada Encore by Wyndham Busan Station

✅ PRICE

We paid $74 for a night at the Ramada Encore by Wyndham at Busan Station. Pretty good IMO, definitely much cheaper than other chain hotels surrounding the area. I need to emphasise that this was not an Airbnb but a chain hotel, so yes I get that Airbnbs can be cheaper, but for a chain hotel, this price is great IMO.

✅ LOCATION

Literally two minutes from the train station. There’s an exit from the station that leads straight to the hotel so you definitely won’t get lost.

✅ SPACE

Definitely not the biggest hotel room that we’ve had. We just got the twin room which fit two people perfectly. Not a tight squeeze or anything IMO.

✅ CLEANLINESS

No complains here, pretty clean and simple. Unrelated but the shower pressure was great as well.

✅ STAFF/SERVICE

Staff were friendly and spoke English! No issues checking in whatsoever. Luckily for us when we checked in early in the day, our room was already ready so we could just dump our bags in and go. After checking out we were also able to leave our bags with the hotel while we continued exploring the city.

✅ TRANSPORT

It’s close to multiple bus stops and is a three minute walk from both the KTX trains and the Busan metro station. Super convenient to travel around and about with this hotel as your home base!

🫠 AMENITIES

They don’t provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, but shampoo, conditioner and body soap are. We brought our own during this trip so it wasn’t a big deal to us. But they did provide bath towels and even bath robes and slippers which was a nice plus.

⭐️ VERDICT: honestly for the price, the convenience, it was great. I can’t complain. However for people who have longer trips in Busan, perhaps you’d like to experience another area like Haeundae instead so you can get that beautiful sea view. We chose this hotel near Busan station just for practicality’s sake because we had to maximise our time there. We didn’t want to spend time lugging suitcases to check into the hotel when we reached early in the day, and just wanted a clean, affordable and fuss free place — this place did just that!
