Yeah you read that right. Ramen that has wok hei?!? I was skeptical when I first heard of it. It’s a soup dish. How can you have wok hei?! Turns out, they fry the noodles before they assemble the ramen in the soup. And y’know what. No joke I can taste the wok hei flavour and it slaps.

Here’s what we ordered:

✅Chicken Chashu Collagen Ramen ($13.90)

It was nice and definitely one of the better chicken ramens I’ve had in my lifetime. But unfortunately the collagen broth was nothing like the one at Beauty In The Pot. I would say skip this unless you want something mild/non spicy.

✅Seafood Mix Prawn Ramen ($18.90)

The seafood flavour was ✨present✨ with this one. She raised her hand and everything. It’s one of the better seafood ramens that I’ve had actually. They also had some lobster ball in the soup that absolutely SLAPPED. I loved it. The ramen egg was also perfectly cooked. The yolks were beautifully runny and not a single one was over cooked.

✅Chicken Gyoza Collagen Ramen - Spicy ($12.90)

My preferred chicken ramen here. The spice isn’t too crazy that I needed a cold drink, but enough to satisfy my craving for a little kick in my soup. The gyozas in the soup felt more like dumplings tbh because it’s boiled, but I like them that way anyway.

✅Onion Oil Ramen ($8.90)

Now this, was the star in my opinion. Think about scallion pancakes, but ramen. It was so good. I’ve never seen any other restaurant do this. It was so unique. I know that this was a side, but tbh I’d even have it as my main LOL. That was how good it was. Chewy noodles that tasted like scallion pancakes?!? Yes please.

✅WOKE Gyoza ($4.50)

Not my favourite, but still good to have. It was deep fried, but I prefer my gyozas pan fried. But again that’s just personal preference on my end.

✅Golden Beancurd Skin ($3.50)

I didn’t eat this, so I can’t comment. I don’t like beancurd stuff in general. But my friends seem to really like it!

✅Chicken Karaage ($4.50)

Yes. So good, so addictive. Tastes like popcorn chicken and what’s not to love about that?

✅Mentaiko Fries ($4.50)

It was nice, but Genki’s has a better ✨mentaiko✨ flavour.

Overall, it was a great experience. But as a Westie, I will only have this if I am in the area. I don’t think I’ll travel all the way to Changi to have it unfortunately, but definitely if I was at the airport. On my list to eat. Until they move to somewhere more central, or until I fly off to my next holiday, I’ll keep thinking about that onion oil ramen… that was so good. 🥲
