Finally, a halal-certified "mookata"!?

Finally found this affordable halal-certified Thai BBQ steamboat that is good for big groups! It's actually mookata, but mookata means pork skillet, so doesn't make sense to call it halal-certified mookata, but yeahs you know what I mean 🤣

The store is called Sedap Thai. It is a hawker stall located at Berseh Food Centre, which is a mere 5 mins walk away from Jalan Besar MRT!

Menu:

🍲 Buffet ($22 per pax)

They have a-la-carte menu but we chose the buffet because we are with the boys. For buffet, we can order everything on the menu, except the seafood section which comes at additional charges. If you are not feeling that hungry, there's also sharing platters!

For the steamboat, there's two soup options available (chicken broth and tom yum), and we opt for the latter. It started out quite bland, but it gets flavourful overtime as the juices from the cooked meat drip down into the soup!

Though there was nothing particularly special about the food, it's pretty worth the price that you are paying for! One portion of meat in general costs $3, which is quite affordable!

Overall it's a good place to chill with friends! We bought sugarcane drinks also, and it's a perfect combi!
