HAVE KIDS

so instead of waking up when you want to on New Years Day, you get to wake up to a flashlight strobing in your face and someone demanding snacks, before your feet even hit the floor.

Gone are the days of being able to stay up a little too late or have just a *little* too much of that favorite bottle of wine.

These kids do not care at ALL what time you went to bed or that it’s a holiday and you may need just a little extra sleep. But honestly? We don’t like to forfeit sleep for being up too late and feeling lousy in the morning these days anyway.

Do you ever stop and reflect on how life used to be before the kids? Every now and then we miss it but overall: we love our early bedtimes and our mornings filled with little tiny feet (and strobing flashlights 😵‍💫. Though, admittedly, we could really do without the flashlights 🤣).

What are your NYE plans?

Will you be tucking in early to stay ahead of the tiny humans?
