Wearing a hijab can be a personal choice and comes with various perks.

Perks of being a hijabi may include

1. A sense of empowerment in yourself and with you relationship with Allah (God).

2. Respect from men who would typically cat cat me if I wasn’t covered. (This is specific to me I live in NYC and the cat calling is OD here).

3. A sense of pride expressing cultural identity.

4. Promoting modesty over the typical sexualization of women.

5. Fostering a sense of community among those who share similar values and hijab.
