What to know about traveling to Lithuania! 🇱🇹

Here’s some tips about traveling to Lithuania!

- Weather! Lietuva literally translates Land of Rain! Rain is very common here. Weather also changes at any instance, and it can get chilly even in the summertime. It’s pretty far up north! Think of England weather when you think of Lithuania!

- Lithuania is actually part of the European Union, so if you’re doing other countries, your euros work here too! They also take credit card almost everywhere, except local vendors!

- People are nice, but they’re not used to too much diversity. They will not discriminate, but they might stare.

- Travel from city to city by train! Even the locals aren’t too familiar with this one yet - but Lithuania has a relatively new train system that travels through all the major cities. And it’s pretty awesome! You can book tickets through LTG link and go from one side of the country to another for less than 25 euros - but trains only run 4-5 times a day for each route so plan accordingly.

- Uber is not popular here. The app they use here is Bolt! And you can either pay on the app or cash directly to the driver!

Lithuania is a very cool country with rich history - and it is fairly inexpensive compared to other European countries. It’s worth a visit!
