Osteria del Lovo in Venice, Italy - a Food Review!

We made a reservation at this restaurant on The Fork - it’s similar to OpenTable, but this is what’s used in Italy.

The ambiance was great here, very classy and high end - but the service was very slow. It took us 45 minutes to get our food, and the place wasn’t even busy. We ordered a steak and pasta - which shouldn’t seem like it takes long?

We started with beef carpaccio with rocket salad and cheese - while the meat was great, the cheese really stole the show! So good!

I ordered pasta with truffle cheese and shaved truffle - and it was great! Super creamy, truffly without being over-bearing, and the cheese sauce was delicious. The pasta was well cooked, and it was very yummy!

My boyfriend got the steak - while it was seasoned well, it was chewy - also the cheese on top kind of surprised me! It worked, but I wouldn’t have guessed!

The real star surprisingly was the “baked” potatoes - they seemed like they were fried because they were so crispy! We couldn’t stop eating them, it was salty deliciousness!

I highly recommend this place for the pasta, and I’m sure their other dishes are great - but don’t get the steak!
