How to remove gel polish using a nail drill!
Removing gel with acetone is another option but I prefer using my nail drill. To be completely honest, I hate how long it takes to remove the nails with acetone!! I am so impatient, and I have found that removing gel polish with a nail drill has been way faster!!
I will say, I had to get to know my nail drill before getting comfortable using it to remove gel! Since using a nail drill, it is a lot easier to mess up your natural nails but that is why it is important to constantly be moving around your nail drill!!
I use the SAVILAND portable nail drill and I LOVEEE! The battery life lasts really long and it also comes with nail bits๐ค
The nail bit I use to remove my gel polish is a โround head alloy bitโ and I did order that separately off of Amazon!
ITEMS NEEDED:
๐คSAVILAND Nail Dust Collector
๐คSAVILAND portable nail drill
๐คRound Head Alloy Bit
๐คNail File
๐คCuticle Pusher
๐คCuticle Oil
Everything I used is from Amazon!๐
STEPS:
1. Remove gel polish in a up and down motion first, then a side to side motion
2. Reshape nails and lightly buff with a 100/180 file
3. Gently push back cuticles
4. Apply cuticle oil and moisturizer to hands
And that is how to remove gel polish with a nail drill!! It is a super quick and simple tutorial but can be harsh on nails if done incorrectly!
Here are some tips:
๐Keep drill on a lower speed than usual to prevent digging
๐Dust off nails with a dust brush
๐Invest in a good nail dust collector to protect your health!
I hope this tutorial was easy and helpful, and let me know in the comments if you prefer removing gel with acetone or with a nail drill!๐
