Finding My Signature Haircut 💇‍♀️

I wanted to share my hair transformation to show you all what style I had prior to finding my signature haircut. Finding a flattering hairstyle can be really challenging, so I wanted to share with you all what I asked for at the salon to achieve my current hairstyle.

I feel so much more confident and cool with my new hairstyle. I hope that you can take inspiration from my experience and hopefully discover the most flattering haircut for your particular look.

Firstly, let's talk about my hair type and old haircut. My hair is wavy to curly fine hair that usually has type 2B and 2C curls. It's very thick too, so it's easy for my natural texture to get weighed down and disappear if there are few layers in my hair. My old haircut didn't flatter my hair shape well and in fact a lot of my face was hidden underneath all my hair. Much of my hair texture had disappeared too because of how few layers were in my previous haircut style.

My goal with my new haircut was to hide less of my face and also to bring out my natural texture more. While I was at the salon I asked for many layers cut into my hair and to keep the long length in the back but significantly shorten the front. In essence a longer version of a wolf cut style. I purposely also asked for curtain bangs in the front which I could style effortlessly to frame my heart shaped face better.

I'm in love with my new hairstyle and I feel so much more confident and cool now😎
