I took my first in-studio Peloton class and was hooked! After taking 500 spin classes all in-person with them, I had some take-aways.
1️⃣ Spinning is a mood booster! It helped me release stress, improve my mood, and boost my confidence. I feel more energized and happier after every session.
2️⃣ Spinning can be tough, but it was also great for recovery from running. It was lower impact and I would still be able to get endurance exercise without the wear and tear.
3️⃣ On the flip side, it is so much easier to push myself spinning in an in-person class instead of at home. The competition is fun and you’re accountable to the room.
4️⃣ Spin classes are a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and form a community. They introduced me to many amazing people who share my passion. I had a whole crew to ride with.
🚫 There were also a few negatives from the in-person experience. Classes can get expensive, especially if you’re taking a lot every week. I didn’t enjoy how loud the studio would get. After taking so many it did feel monotonous some days. Now after 500 classes, I definitely don’t have the passion for it anymore.
