⭐️ Recently my family went on a week-long trip to Boracay, Philippines, and I wanted to share my experience!
✈️ Getting There
Sadly, there is no direct flight to Boracay:( Hence, we took a flight from Singapore to Manila first, then took a connecting flight to Boracay with a 4h layover. Afterwards, we took a van, a boat, and then a van again to get to our hotel. All in all, it took about 12h to our hotel from takeoff in SG, so it took a while :,)
🛶 Activity 1: Crystal Kayak
For those who want to get those Instagram-worthy photos, this is the activity for you! This is a 20min photo-taking session on a clear kayak guided by a photographer, so you don’t have to know how to pose! While I was generally shy in taking pictures, the fact that I wasn’t gonna see him ever again made me more confident :3
⛵️Activity 2: Paraw Sailing
not to be confused with Parasailing, this is a peaceful sunset activity where you get onto a small boat and ride into the horizon to watch the sunset and take pictures. Really loved this activity because I loveee the orange skies at dawn!!
🏝Activity 3: Island Hopping
A classic activity, you get to explore 3 other small islands within Boracay in 3 hours! We got to snorkel, which was breathtaking because the fishes were so colourful :o We visited caves and some cool structures as well :)
⭐️Overall, while getting there was quite a hassle, the island is BEAUTIFUL — the sand is SUPER soft, the water is crystal clear and blue, and tourists are spoiled for choice with the number of activities and eateries there :D Definitely a must-go if you plan to visit the Philippines <3
