BATTLE OF THE SETTING POWDERS: FENTY VS HUDA 👀✨✍🏼

Hey Girlies! There are so many setting powders out there in the market but today, I’ll be testing TWO of the most popular setting powders right now and they are the Fenty Beauty setting powder & the Huda Beauty setting powder 💅🏼 Listen, if you don’t bake your face, what are you even doing? Your makeup is not going to last and that’s just science 🤷🏻‍♀️ Getting the right setting powder for you is the one of the major factors to make your makeup last, especially when you have combo to oily skin. I’ve tested the two products and I definitely have a favourite and I’ll tell you why! 🫶🏼

1. FENTYBEAUTY PRO FILT’R INSTANT RETOUCH SETTING POWDER IN BUTTER 🧈

Whenever I use this powder, I’m always amazed at how flawless and airbrushed my skin looks like. It’s magic in a tub! I love that this has so much product that it’ll last me forever because I’m not scared to use a lot of powder so this is just great for me. I love how finely-milled the powder is and it’s not chalky whatsoever. Also, it doesn’t make you look like a ghost whenever you’re taking pics with the flash on because there’s minimal flashback 📸 I have combo skin so this works really great on my oily areas like my t-zone. I don’t have to touch up with my compact powder that much when I use the setting powder. All in all, it’s 5 out of 5!

2. HUDABEAUTY EASY BAKE LOOSE POWDER IN BLONDIE 💛

This powder feels like nothing. It doesn’t make your skin look cakey but it does make your skin look super smooth and blurred out. I’m not a huge fan of the scent, I think it’s overpowering and honestly, that’s one of the reasons why I tend to stray away from HudaBeauty because the fragrance is too strong for me. Despite that, I think this powder is beautiful. The oil-control is not that long-lasting but it is still manageable. I feel like people with drier skin would like this more since oily skin is not a problem of theirs. The flashback is also minimal but if you use too much, it’ll give you a bit of flashback.

THE VERDICT: 👏🏼

I gotta say, I love both powders but one powder truly beats the other and…. FentyBeauty is definitely the winner! 🥰 It caters more to my needs since I have combo skin. I still like the HudaBeauty powder but I would like it even more for when I’m not producing as much oil as I do right now. Miss Rihanna gets it and I can’t deny my love for the setting powder 💘
