My Career Change Changed My Life

Changing careers can be scary, especially after investing so much into your prior education. After graduating with my Masters in psychology, I felt completely lost. My plan had been to pursue a doctorate, but I no longer had the passion to do so.

What was I supposed to do next?

I was always interested in the medical field, so I decided to explore that option. NYU’s accelerated BSN program is only 15 months because it is designed for people who already have a prior bachelors degree. I decided to apply and started my first semester of the program in Spring 2023.

Starting nursing school has been the best decision I have ever made. I encourage anyone to who is unhappy in their current field to follow their heart and explore new options.

I found my passion. I found my purpose. You can too!
