It Girl Capsule Wardrobe 🌬️✨ Everything You Need!

In today’s post I’ll be sharing with you the ultimate guide to an It Girl Capsule Wardrobe 🕊️

In my teens and in uni I found it slightly difficult to find my own style because I think I was trying to fit in with what people are wearing but I think as of now I have found what I liked!

I would say my style is particularly influenced by the CPH FW/European Spring/Summer style: i.e: Oversized shirts, dress pants, mixed metal jewelleries etc! With this said, it’s quite easy to build a capsule wardrobe because of how versatile each piece is. So this is how I built mine!

🪄Blazers:

I found my perfect oversized blazer in the RICH shade of brown and it’s my favourite thing ever!! Pair it with a fitted midi dress and kitten heels and you’re good to go! I also thrifted this amazing cinched waist blazer which I’ve been seeing a lot of at CPHFW. I think the contrast between the two makes it the perfect staple in any wardrobe.

🪄 Oversized shirts:

I think I own a good number of oversized button-downs! Perfect for layering during my travels or to wear them as is. What I love about capsule wardrobes are the versatility of the pieces. So it’s incredibly easy to build outfits. I think a light blue, white & blue and white button down tops are the perfect three to start with! My favourites are from Zara and Cotton On but COS has better options if you’d like to opt for that.

🪄 Dress pants/wide leg pants:

By this point, I think most if not all of my pants are from Uniqlo! They have the best dress pants for a really good price. I like my pants slightly baggier and looser and I find that they fit really well on my body type.

🪄 Hijabs:

This is where I have fun ahah. Yes I do have my basic shawls but I’ve been really into printed bawals lately!! I have a relatively neutral colour palette so I like adding colour through my scarves! And I think it’s a fun addition to somewhat elevate my fit. I usually get mine from my mum’s closet or Harirose! However, I have had my eye on the printed bawal from kedaituds!!

🪄 Accessories:

Don’t hate me but I am a mixed metals girlie.. I know it’s not for everybody but I feel like the pieces that suit best with silver and gold and it’s also a fun way to play around. I have my necklace that my grandma got me and I never really take it off so that’s one, I’ve been meaning to get a few necklaces but because I have sensitive skin, I’m quite scared to try other materials. Let me know if you have any suggestions!! Aside from my necklace, I like to mix my rings but I only get rings when I’m out with my friends or to commemorate certain occasions so it has some depth to it.

🪄Shoes:

I did an in-depth shoe collection a while ago so I won’t ramble on for too long in this post but I think what you need are really a good pair of sneakers, kitten heels and sandals! My latest addition to my shoe collection are my Onitsuka Tigers in the Tai Chi colorway and I AM OBSESSED! Again, the colour is not for everybody but I love them and I think they definitely go with all my outfits.

And that’s really all you need! Other basics I would recommend getting are baggy jeans and long sleeved tees from Uniqlo! Other than that you’ve built yourself a capsule wardrobe! Let me know your thoughts and what you think I’m missing out on!
