i'm a sucker for methods to save money so these are some of the things i do at home to save money 🥹 these are still pretty normal!! might do a post about the more extreme ones in the future 👀

➡️ hang dry instead of using the dryer

yes, i have an actual gas dryer but i dont use it too much!! i only use it if i have a whole pile of clothes to wash & dry after a long overseas trip. other than that, i always hang dry when i can! it's easy, i just do a load in the morning and hang it up before the afternoon sun comes! saves my gas and electricity bills!

➡️ no fans/aircons

okay before you judge, i live on a pretty high floor so we often get wind!! and as someone who works from home all the time, using the fan and aircon is just a waste so i just dont turn on anything 🫢 if it gets a little hot and stuffy, i legit just breathe through it HAHA but yes, if my husband isnt working from home, we usually end up only turning on the fans at night!

➡️ clean my sofa myself

i bought a handy machine to clean my mattresses and sofa on my own!! it is pretty time consuming and an arm workout but paying someone to clean my sofa for a few hundred dollars just isnt worth it for me. so i do this once every 2 months!! (📌 the one i use is in my link in bio under "vacuums" on shopee!)

➡️ clean my toilets myself

easy one because i find it therapeutic 😂 but yes!! you dont need expensive brands to clean your toilets thoroughly so each clean could well be a few dollars only! paying someone 2 digits to clean my toilets physically hurts me 😩 its pretty easy once you get the hang of it!! but yes, a little time consuming so i do a full clean every 3 weeks on the weekends + a wipe down every week!
