I usually stick to the plan. In my experience and opinion, I think having a program is beneficial when wanting to gain lean muscle, along with clean eating of course!

Today I took off the pump cover and felt like doing whatever I wanted to grow my legs so that’s what I did.

Started off on the stair master for 10 mins on level 6 to decide what was next.

Moved to the smith machine and stretched, then did 4 sets of 8 heavy good mornings.

After, I moved to normal old squats, 4 sets of 12 with a rep weight, not too heavy.

I then moved to hamstring curls on the machine which felt sooo good today and I even went up in rep weight for 3 of 4 sets (10 reps).

I then did leg curls on the machine, and I didn’t even do sets I just did two towers of terror. These are great for growing your muscles but are unconventional and not very popular. (Definition at the bottom)

I went to the abduction machine and did a set of 20 at 160lbs which was a new weight for me, stepped off to walk around and rest, and some old lady snatched it from me so that was it for that machine.

After, I did the same amount of adductions, which are the same thing but opposite lol.

After that, I moved over to the glute kickback machine which was a slay per usual, 4x8 (using a weight that I could no longer perform well after 8 reps)

Then I finished off with some leg presses that were also pretty hard, 3x15 with a high, medium, high leg placement.

Your workouts do not have to be structured and perfect every time you workout. Do what your body feels that day if you want. Any other time, follow the plan, but if that’s not what your body feels that day then switch it up once or twice.

A tower of terror is when you go as heavy on the stack as you can for 3 reps with good form. You then go all the way to the top repeating this 3rep exercise at every weight from where you started. This will make 10 pounds feel like 50…in a good way.
