Curves have the ability to change up any space, adding an element of softness and elegance that captures the eye. Here’s sharing 5 ways in which we embraced the beauty of curves in our home design! 🌟

1️⃣ Carpentry

We added curves to our living room storage cabinet (which also conceals our DB box) and our master bedroom L-shaped wardrobe. These curvilinear pieces not only elevate the aesthetics of our home, but are also safer for our kids who love to run around! 🏃 🏃‍♂️

2️⃣ Furniture

We customized our sideboard and dining table on Taobao to have curved edges so it softens the look of the space. We also sourced for round coffee tables and found this fluted beauty on Taobao! 🥳 (It’s big enough for us to dump and fold our dried laundry too 🤫)

3️⃣ Archway

We hacked away the default louvred windows and bi-fold doors in our service yard and sealed up both walls. By doing so, we could hide the pipes and other parts of the service yard from view so it looks “cleaner”. 🙆‍♀️

We then made an arched opening for the service yard which adds a touch of architectural charm and enhances visual appeal ☺️

4️⃣ Recessed Wall Niche

We incorporated a recessed wall niche for our dining space so we could display nice decor pieces and incorporated curves to make it more unique. We how how the curves create a sense of movement and visual interest, transforming an otherwise plain wall into a focal point 💫

5️⃣ Curved Accents

From decorative vases to mirrors and pendant lights, we used these curved accents throughout our home and love how they add a sense of playfulness to the space and make it more inviting. 💛

One of our favourites is the curved LED backlit mirror in each of our bathroom that we bought from Shopee! Got the one with no touch button, warm white light, 50x80cm (model A).
