In this day and age of social media, taking pictures has become a staple in my life as it does in everyone else's, especially when it comes to taking pictures of my outfit of the day, also lovingly known as OOTD. It took me several years to finally pin down what I like and what looks good in picture so today, I'm sharing how I take my Ootd picture when it comes to angle.

When it comes to photos, I do believe which angle you take it from is highly important. Being a plus size girl has made this even more important, in my opinion, because certain angles can make your body look wider, more heavy than it is and that can cause you to have a distorted image of how your body looks and can make you dislike your body. The image you see on the phone or camera has an impact on how you imagine yourself in your head, so it is very important to angle yourself in the best way possible.

High Angle.

A high angle is perfect for someone who's tall and slim and wants to look shorter and have more meat on their bones. If you find that you do not like how tall and lanky you look in pictures, a high angle will help make you look less tall and lanky and gives you more volume. However, if you already have more than enough volume like me and are barely reaching 5'1 in height, this is a terrible angle for you to take your full body picture.

Mid Angle.

Mid angle is like cheese, you can never go wrong with it. It's the most honest of all the angels. An image taken from mid angle is the closest you can get to representing your actual body. This is the angle from which everyone with all shapes and bodies can take their picture if they would like to show their full body picture as it is. I also take my ootd picture using this angle, especially when using a tripod instead of having someone to take my picture.

Low Angle.

The low angle is perfect for someone who's shorter and on the more voluptuous side and wants to look taller and more slimmer. It helps in elongating your body and that, naturally, makes you look like you have lost a few kg which is not a bad thing at all, especially if you're taking a picture of your outfit. It makes the clothes sit better on your body. This is my favourite angle to take my ootd picture from.

The angle from which you take your picture is important, that is true. However, it is more important for you to love how your body looks. You are beautiful regardless of anything, so always remember that.
