❌DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES ✈️ 🇹🇼‼️

1️⃣First of all, it’s 🔥DAMN HOT🔥in Taiwan during summer! It felt like 40 deg for 36 deg temperature. There was no wind 🌬️ even if there is, it’s HOT WIND 😭 and risk of typhoon + sudden heavy rain 🌧️ So go at your own risk ⚠️ Personally my tickets were cheap ($400 via china airlines) so no regrets ✌️

2️⃣ My visit to Jioufen was a disaster ❌ Not sure why (maybe the crazy hot weather?) at 11am when i was there, almost all the shops were still closed!😭 I visited the Gold Museum, New Taipei City Government and gold waterfallGolden Waterfall recommended in the Taiwan tourist Pass (will share more in another post) - to summarise DONT BOTHER. nothing interesting personally, no gold seen and the waterfall is smaller than Little Guilin 🙃

3️⃣ Got caught in a predicament at gold museum where weirdly the bus 🚌 to gold waterfall didn’t come according to google maps and also the bus stop timing 🤔 TWICE 🤬. then a random small bus came and ask us to get on to 水湳洞 station (other side of the mountain area) where a group of us (tourist) all scrambled up to prevent getting stuck on the mountain 🏔️ My husband and I mistakenly got off at the next stop at Jin Fu Temple (thought was the waterfall) and was stuck there with no bus 🚌 .

4️⃣ A taxi pulled up and ask us to get on saying there is no more buses. We boarded as there was no other way down (the rest of the cars were private hires). He told us it is 300 TWD (~ $12 SGD) to go to Golden waterfall which is just 1.5km down 🤬 and 800 TWD (~ $32) to surrounding attractions. we just ask him to go to the waterfall which he grudging did and told us to 保重 finding transport😰. We walked down to 水湳洞 along steep narrow road in the sun 🌞 and waited for the next bus back to Keelung City - forfeited the rest of the Iternary. May I say the bus changed from 1 hour to 1.5 hour wait?! lucky it came 30 mins earlier - pity the people after.

5️⃣ So to my final most important point that ‼️BUSES OUTSIDE TAIPEI IS NOT RELIABLE‼️ Just get a private car to prevent the same thing from potentially happening to you 🥲
