What are chemical exfoliants?

Chemical exfoliants are gentle, non abrasive acids that help break down the "glue" that holds dead skin cells to the skin surface and leaves the skin smooth and glowy.

Some of my favorite chemical exfoliants are:

•Salicylic acid (or BHA) - Great for acne prone skin.

•Lactic Acid (or AHA) - Good for unclogging pores.

•Azelaic Acid - Good sensitive skin, unclogging pores, and kills acne causing bacteria.
