My cleft cutie

Colton was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.

This means that he needed 2 repair surgeries before he was even one years old.

So far he’s had 5, but he still had many more to go.

But Colton is so much more than a cleft cutie.

He’s brave, strong and the best brother. He loves to sing, wrestle and make his baby brother laugh.

He doesn’t let his cleft define him, and we are working as parents to navigate raising him to continue to feel that way. It’s not always easy, we aren’t always perfect but Colton is helping us all learn!
