What i did on my solo Tokyo trip (part 2)

This is a continuation of my solo Tokyo trip and what I planned for my itinerary 🙌🏻🤩

Day 04:

🌞 Morning:

🫠 Wasted time traveling to Ohi race course (it was closed) - i previously thrifted great loots here! They have a flea market every weekend sadly, it was raining and closed when i went :-(

🌥️ Afternoon:

🫶🏻Headed to explore Shibuya

- Nintendo store

- Pokémon Centre

- Thrift stores

🤩 Headed to explore Shimokitazawa (thrifting/vintage neighborhood)

- Treasure factory (10/10 recommend)

- Mode off / book off

- Spent the rest of the day walking around the nieghbourhood

🌚 Night:

🍢 Dinner at an izakaya with my japan buddy @torikizoku (they have outlets scattered all around tokyo so if you wanna try inexpensive isakaya food, do drop by!)

Day 05:

🎂 Birthday day! Gonna be spending it mainly thrifting and exploring Koenji. Koenji is another thrifting heaven in tokyo, totally unlike shimokitazawa it’s more neighbourhoody with small shops you can just walk into!

🌞 Morning:

Brunch at Fulgen Tokyo: would recommend the latte (their known for their coffees ☕️ & waffles 🧇)

🌥️ Afternoon: Off to koenji to thrift

- Mode off

- Book off

- Treasure factory

- Super old

- White cube

- Tampopo house

🌚 Night: Back to asakusa for bday dinner

🐷 Got a tonkatsu meal at one of the hole in the wall stores

Day 06:

🌞 Morning:

Off to my friends home as I’ll be staying over for the last day! If you have friends residing in tokyo, do consider bunking in with them for a few days to cut the cost of hotels / airbnbs!

Afternoon:

🚆 Fully exploring akihabara

I wanted to get some figurines so i dropped by the renowned stores & second hand figurine stores:

- Entertainemnt hobby shop jungle

- Liberty Akihabara Lashinbang

- Book off

- Astop

- Radio Kaikan

🌥️ Afternoon:

Souvenir shopping - hack is to get most of your souvenirs in drugstores (so you get tax free!)

🌚 Night:

🍣 Dinner at a conveyer belt sushi restaurant - Sushiro

Day 07:

Last day in Tokyo 😩

I slept in and headed to a hole in the wall tonkatsu store my friend recommended me to.

The uncle only spoke Japanese and i had no idea how to order but I just said one tonkatsu meal 😵‍💫 The rice and side dishes also self-service which was an interesting experience, i just followed what the business men were doing 🫡

Location: Tonkatsu Santa

Spend the rest of the day heading to their airport & checking in!

I did last minute souvenir shopping at the airport and headed back to singapore with zipair 💺🛫 (posted more on this budget airlines under japan airlines, so head to that post for more details about the budget breakdown)

Overall an amazing trip by myself and not only exploring Tokyo but leaning more about myself 😚 I would totally recommend everyone to try a solo travel trip at least once in their lives and I hope these posts help you ☺️✨🤘🏻
