Date ideas in Korea - Han river picnic

Something super memorable in Korea was picnicking by the Han river ✨ Yeouido Hangang Park, a great spot and apparently the most popular picnic spot in Korea 🧺 I had a great time there #withmybesties and if youre in Korea, do give it a chance as a date idea or just come down and have a picnic with your pals 💡🥳

🚇 Nearest Station: Sinbanpo Station (Exit 1)

🍁 Best season to go: Spring / Autumn (do bring a jacket or sweater during autumn as it gets more chilly)

👀 What we did:

It was a rather relaxing day before we decided to head to shop. Once we reached the park, there were vendors selling picnic mats and renting them out so we rented one for ~$2 SGD. (Upon research, you can even rent a tent to chill at for the day for around 9000W) ☁️

For food, we decided to head to the convenience store to get some ramen noodles 🍜 It was pretty crowded but not too packed. What I ♡ about the packaging is that you could cook your noodles on the spot there and bring it back to your picnic spot 🍽

🏞 Surroundings and River:

It was rather crowded on the day we visited but we got a spot on the grass near the river. Despite the crowd, it was still very zen and chill. I really enjoyed taking photos by the river after we had eaten and just walking by the river and listening to the baskers 🎙

💡 Other activities to try:

Cycling along the river to get the full hangang park experience. You can rent bicycles on both sides of Yeouinaru Station for around 3,000W for the first hour and 5,000W for 2 hours 🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️

💬 Overall review:

I think admits the shopping and usual things to visit in Korea, having a picnic was a great way to slow down for my friends and I. I look forward to heading back to the river to enjoy the view and eat ramen by the river again 🤩
