Remodeling a Hamster Bungalow!

One thing I ♡ about owning a Syrian hamster is how I get to change up their enclosure and decorate it!

Thing to note when changing up their environment:

🥥 Environment and enclosure changes are good for younger hamsters as it stimulates their brain to explore

🙅🏻 However for older hamsters, you might want to choose to keep the set up as similar as possible to help them with movement as they are more senior and are used to their set up

☁️ Provide ample bedding for them to burrow in

🐚 Give them ample hide outs for them to sleep / rest in (hamsters are prey animals so they like to feel secure and by providing them cool dark hides to scurry to decreases their stress)

💦 Make sure to wash their food and water bottle to prevent build up for bacteria

🌊Wash any furniture if they peed on it - and DRY before placing back into enclosure

Hamsters are small animals but require a lot of care so I hope any new / existing hamster parents out there find this useful 🌝
