One of the most Instagram worthy places in Kuala Lumpur is the RexKL BookXcess store. Malaysians and visitors coming to KL can have the same amazing Instagram, TikTok or Facebook photos of this unique bookshop, similar to the world-famous Starfield Library in Seoul, Korea.

Opened at the end of November 2021, BookXcess has taken the second floor of RexKL in Jalan Petaling to open their unique and creatively designed book store.

BookXcess at RexKL actually occupies the upper floor of the old Rex Cinema, where it housed the first-class seats and the projector room.

Well, some of the younger generations will probably never see how it really was back in the days of old cinema. But I am glad that they managed to preserve this cinema building.

📍RexKL is located on Jalan Sultan, and is a stand-alone building once the former Rex Cinema.
