Pocket Guide to Krabi!

Krabi has always been touted as the boring option compared to Phuket, but if you are looking for a chill, relaxing (and not to mention, CHEAPER!) beach getaway, then this is for you!

Best things to do in Krabi:

1️⃣ Go island hopping!

As we went with a big group (13pax), we chartered a full day private tour with 5 Star Marines (@5starmarinesphuket), who offers tours departing from both Krabi and Phuket. I would 💯 recommend checking them out if you are considering a more ~luxe~ option, as they provide snorkeling equipment, music speakers, ice box, towels, and even fresh fruits on board! Their boats and snorkeling equipment were all in relatively new condition, which was really pleasant! While they have a recommended itinerary to visit the main islands (Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, Pileh Lagoon), you are free to customise the day to your preference.

* 🥘 Lunch is excluded, but you can have the crew arrange a beach picnic at extra cost (Western and Thai options).

* 🍻 Alcohol is also excluded. Do remember that you can only purchase alcohol in Krabi at restricted times (e.g. between 11am - 2pm), so do purchase beforehand if pick-up is arranged before 11am and you intend to drink onboard.

2️⃣ Visit Railay Beach

If you don’t have a full day to spare, you can find the beautiful Railay beach located just 30 mins away by boat (departing at Krabi pier). Don’t miss Phra Nang Cave Beach located on the other side of the island (~20 mins walk)!

3️⃣ Food, Massage and Entertainment

Catch the daily evening fire show by the main Krabi beach, go for a traditional Thai massage (opt for the aromatherapy massage if you have a low pain threshold), and take your pick of both local and international food offerings on the island!
