Uniqlo Pleated Pants: Cop or Drop?

after seeing some tiktoks about uniqlo’s newest product, i knew i had to head down to try the pants out in person so here’s a short review on what i think about the Uniqlo Women’s Pleated Pants!

fit:

i only tried on the XL size and it was not long enough for me. it runs a bit baggy and loose which is quite nice but unfortunately, it came up just a little bit too short for me and did not drape over my shoes which is what i usually look out for in my pants.

material:

the material is super soft and silky and would make a really comfortable piece to lounge in at home. however, the soft material also means that there is no structure at all which can cause the pants to fit in a funny way like how the black pair did in the third slide. and for guys, there is no padding so you will probably feel quite vulnerable.

colours:

there is a wide range of colours to choose from but i think most people would opt for the black and beige. i think the pleats are more noticeable in the beige but the black does hide your manhood a bit better so i guess these are some things you can take into consideration!

practicality:

the pants feature an adjustable/ elastic waist which is nice as XL is the biggest size so you do have the option to size up or down a little still. however, the lack of pockets make it quite unpractical and i’m not really a fan of pants with no pockets so that was a big no no for me:”)

overall, i think the pants are still a really good alternative for those who want to try having a pair that is similar to the actual isseys, or are looking to change their aesthetic to something more minimalistic and classy. personally, i felt like it wasn’t really my style and the lack of functionality and the pants running a bit short for me were factors that convinced me not to get it. hope the review was helpful and share your thoughts and if you would still wanna get it and why in the comments!
