how to make straight asian hair WAVY!

I remember 3 years ago when i was getting a perm in JB my stylist said i had the straightest hair that she had ever seen and ever since my perm went away, my hair has been straight as ever and i have been finding a way to conveniently curl my hair without having to use a hair curler for the longest time. it was only during cny this year that my mum suggested using her hair rollers and at first i didn’t believe it would work but when i saw how well it did, i’ve been doing it every time i prepare to go out! so here’s a quick run down and some tips to take note off when using this method to make your hair wavy:

1. always wax to damp hair to make it easier to scrunch and style

2. REMEMBER to rub the wax out until it becomes invisible on your palms and you’ve generated some heat — this is to activate the product

3. apply in a scrunching motion to create more texture

4 when using the roller, it’s best to separate your hair into two portions with the parting wherever you want it to be

5. section your hair in between two fingers and use your other hand to press it against the roller and roll DOWNWARDS

6. leave it like that for a while and make sure to clip it in place

7. after removing it, straighten out the curls and style it however you want!

To make the curls last longer, you can make it a bit damp and apply more wax and use a hair dryer to apply some heat and scrunch your hair while blow drying. Finish with hairspray to make it stay that way and you’re good to go! hope you guys with straight hair find this useful:)
